Residents of Independence, MO were treated to a full weekend of Speedway Ice Racing when Extreme International Ice Racing came to the Independence Events Center this past weekend for a two-night double header.

are any of the ice racing riders ( Extreme International Ice Racing ), Charlie Venegas , Anthony Barlow , Shawn McConnell racing on the fair weather tracks this up coming season…Flat Track , Speedway etc.
Most of the XIIR racers also belong to the California Speedway Association, so they’re racing on the West Coast during the summer. There are a few guys who race in the East Coast Speedway Association, which races on indoor and outdoor speedway tracks in New York. You can get their information here: http://www.speedwaybikes.com.
The ICE Racing Championships (http://www.icespeedway.com) use modified flat track singles bikes, so you’ll see AMA Pro Flat Track racers like Joe Kopp and Jared Mees in that series. Actually, Jared Mees won the 2009 AMA Flat Track Grand National title and is currently in the points lead in the ICE Series.
