Here at Motourage, we love our high-income, mega-celebrity racers from around the world, but what really gets us revved up are the guys (and girls) battling it out on track for the love of the sport. There are no multi-million-dollar contracts here. This is racing from the heart; pure and simple.
One racer who truly epitomizes this love of racing is Chris Podergois. The 26-year-old flat tracker and supermoto rider from Clovis, California works fulltime as a lineman for the local power company to fuel his racing lifestyle and support his wife and young child. Currently racing in the Eddie Mulder Flat Track Series, Chris was chosen by adult beverage maker Jeremiah Weed to showcase the badass ways exemplified by their new line of premium malt beverages.
Check out THIS VIDEO featuring Chris on the Jeremiah Weed YouTube channel, and if you have the chance to make it out to northern California, get to the track to show your support.
Chris will be doing a chat on Jeremiah Weed’s Facebook Page next Tuesday at 5 p.m. ET. Stop by and ask him a question or two.
We here at Motourage have been following Australian Superbike racer Jordan (AKA Jordy) Burgess for a few years now, first as a Superstock and Superbike racer in the Australian Superbike Championship and now as a rider with Team ADR Fly Racing Suzuki in the AMA Superbike series.
Although Jordy has only four years as a pro racer under his belt, he’s doing a great job marketing himself. His blog is constantly updated, he posts regularly on his Facebook and Twitter pages and he often shares videos like this one, taken this morning at Laguna Seca. Other racers would benefit by following his example.
Keep an eye out for this 25-year-old up and comer.
On Saturday, the Motourage crew took a three-hour roadtrip north to Hampton, VA for round 10 of the ICE Speedway Championship.
Featuring Manufacturers Cup Motorcycles, Outlaw Quads, Big Dogs Pit Bikes, Nitro X-Karts, ATCs (which, as someone pointed out, haven’t been manufactured for 20 years) and other featured classes, ICE Speedway definitely delivered on it’s tagline, “The Greatest Spectacle on Ice.”
The Motourage video of the day features the first heat race of the Manufacturers Cup Motorcycle class with 2009 AMA Flat Track Grand National champion and 2010 ICE Speedway champion, Jammin’ Jared Mees.
To get you revved up on this Friday morning, Motourage presents the Video of the Day.
Created by 4TheRiders, this video was released at the 2010 AFM awards banquet, and it offers plenty of action to get you motivated for racing – and for life.
MotoUSA’s contributing editor, Steve Atlas, recently had the privilege of taking six different models of twin-powered flat trackers around Prescott, Arizona’s Yavapai Downs – known to Flat Track fans as The Arizona Mile.
Today’s Motourage video comes from our favorite combination of Ducati and Xerox. However, the timing of this ad’s launch is rather strange considering Ducati recently announced it will pull its factory support from the World Superbike Championship, thus eliminating Xerox’s sponsorship obligations.
Jordan and Amy may be best known for their work on the track, but in this feature of the show they appear in the feature “The Newlywed Game” with Donna Mei-Ling Park.
Motourage is a place for everyone who loves motorcycle racing. Join us to discuss, speak, listen, share and WATCH! Look for upcoming Motourage group race packages, contests and other events on the events page.
