This week’s Motourage racing event calendar

SylvainGuintoli

BSB Worx Crescent Suzuki's Sylvain Guintoli

It’s another slow week in the world of motorcycle racing, especially for those of us here in the US.  AMA Pro Road Racing concluded its season last weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park, and the cancellation of the Hungary MotoGP race at Balatonring leaves a gap in that schedule as well.  World Superbike action will resume in two weeks at Imola with a new points leader in the form of American rookie Ben Spies.  If you’re in the UK, you’ll be treated to BSB round 10 at Croft where Ryuichi Kiyonari will make his return to British Superbikes and Worx Suzuki – and former MotoGP rider – Sylvain Guintoli is still looking to get back to racing form after his early season injury.  The FIM World Endurance Championship heads to Magny-Cours, France where they believe that any race lasting less than 24 hours is a waste of time, and, here in the States, there are many local and regional events at tracks throughout the country. Check your local tracks or call your local motorcycle dealers for more information on events in your area.

Also Section 6.10 (ThunderBike) will be revised to read:

Penalties for failure to meet this requirement will follow Sportbike parameters. Machines must be tested in same condition in which they finish the race or qualifying, including all fluids such as oil and fuel. No fluids may be added prior to testing.

6.10.2.G.(1.) Twin cylinder machines up to 700cc are required to meet a weight limit of 470 lbs. (Tested weight of machine including rider in leathers and boots during post race inspection.) Penalties for failure to meet this requirement will follow Sportbike parameters.
