The Woodstock Bourbon Australian Superbike Championship and the International Entertainment Group have released the finalized 2010 ASBK event schedule.

As in 2009, the 2010 series kicks off at Phillip Island and includes two stops at the Victoria circuit; however, the Symmons Plains, Tasmania stop has been moved from the round two slot to become the season finale in November.  Queensland Raceway gets an extra event with the Quantum Racing Industries-sponsored third round, and the Mallala stop is absent from the 2010 calendar, most likely due to the declining quality of the south Australia circuit.  An event at Melbourne’s Broadford Track fills in the schedule.

The RFME and Dorna Sports have announced the calendar for the CEV Buckler 2010 season. The season will consist of seven events, with the incorporation of Motorland Aragón, which will host the fifth round on October 3, 2010.

June 13: Circuito de Jerez
September 12: Circuito de Albacete
October 3: Motorland Aragón

World Championship Ice Racing comes to Ontario, California this weekend

VIRginia International Raceway has announced its 2010 Spectator Calendar and also announced that it is holding ticket prices steady for the 2010 racing season.

“Our 2010 Calendar is an exciting calendar with everything a road race fan could want. And to reward our great fans, we have kept ticket prices for VIR events virtually the same as in 2009,” explained track general manager Josh Lief.

This week marks the 43^rd running of the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix. Held through the streets of Macau, the Motorcycle Grand Prix has drawn some of the biggest names in motorcycle racing from around the world.  Kevin Schwantz, Carl Fogarty and Ron Haslam are among the more notable competitors of previous races.

This year’s race features some well-known riders from the UK and the US.  Stuart Easton finished the 2009 British Superbike season in third place and will race alongside Isle of Man TT stalwart John McGuinness for the Hydrex Honda team.  Michael Rutter, who has raced in the BSB, World Superbike and MotoGP series as well as the Isle of Man TT and the North West 200, will saddle up for the Team of Paris/AXA Racing  Kawasaki team.

Among the notable American riders are AMA road racers Michael Barnes and Scott Jensen. Mark Miller, who retired from AMA Pro racing in 2001, will also line up on the grid as will Jeremy Toye, TT competitor and winner of the 2006 Willow Springs Toyota 200.

Motorcycle qualifying begins tomorrow, and the 15-lap race will be held at 3:15 p.m. local time on Sunday
